HOW DO I...
MAKE AN APPOINTMENT?

Please make appointments at the Practice by contacting our appointments desk personally or by phone 273401. Routine appointments are booked at 10-minute intervals. Consultations will normally be with the Doctor with whom you are registered. If your Doctor is not available, you may be offered an appointment with another Doctor.
Let us know if more than one person in the family needs to be seen. We can give you a longer appointment if necessary.

All our patients are asked to give brief details of their problem to our Receptionists – this is so you can be directed to the most appropriate person to deal with your problem.

The Practice offers ‘same-day’ appointments as well as appointments that can be booked up to four weeks in advance. For non-urgent appointments please avoid Mondays and Fridays as these tend to be our busiest days.

Telephone Consultations:

All Doctors now also offer telephone consultations which can be booked by the Receptionist.

Duty Team:

In order to meet all our patients’ needs, we now have a Duty Team available each morning and afternoon. This Team is available for consultations and to give advice. Any patient who needs to be seen, having consulted with the Duty Team, will be given an appointment to see either a Doctor or Nurse.

If you are unable to keep your appointment, please phone to cancel AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

HOLIDAY VISITORS AND TEMPORARY RESIDENTS

Our Doctors are happy to see anyone who may require medical treatment or advice whilst they are staying away from home.

HOW DO I...
OBTAIN A HOME VISIT?

Please try to attend the Surgery when possible as the facilities for examining you are much better and any tests that are needed can be arranged. If you or your child feel too ill to wait in the waiting room, the Receptionist will show you to an examination room on arrival.

If you cannot attend the Surgery and require a home visit, please telephone the Surgery before 10.30am, giving some indication of the problem, so that the Doctor can plan his visits.

HOW DO I...
OBTAIN TEST RESULTS?

For results of blood tests, x-rays etc, please telephone during the afternoon, as they have to be checked first by your Doctor. For reasons of confidentiality, results can only be given to Patients themselves, or to parents of children. Please wait for at least one week before telephoning for any results.
