Emergency Contraception and Sexual Health
Emergency Contraception
You can access Emergency Contraception from most pharmacies, however if you would like to discuss this first or need it prescribed then please contact the surgery on 01395 273666 to arrange a same day call back. It is important to access Emergency Contraception as soon as possible and not to delay if you feel you need it.
Termination of Pregnancy
Patients can speak to a doctor confidentially and can be referred onwards to a clinic at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital for a termination of pregnancy. Any patient can also access services without a GP referral by contacting Marie Stopes UK which has a branch in Exeter. The 24 hour advice line is 0345 300 8090. They offer an “at home abortion pill” service or a face to face service, whichever is most appropriate.
